Went for a hunt for an hour or so sunday to a very public domain I went to the other day on which I came across alittle patch of "virgin ground". Was only there 20 mins the other day and found 7 coins, no silver but could tell it hadnt been hunted. This is my finds from from there today and 3 nice silvers to keep the tally going. 1933 threepence, 1918 english shilling and 1925 aussie shilling, plus a nice army hat badge. As for a running tally, we will have to work on it as we have found well over 500 coins and has kind of lost count of some of it. We do know its now 54 silvers, over $100 spendables(which goes into grand daughters bank) 4 silver rings, 3 silver bracklets or bangles, 4 watches(or part thereof). We dont go anywhere secret, all very open public places, but have been lucky to come across little untouched patches, although I did remember one little now very unused play ground from my childhood and have found over 100 coins on it.

How long were you there for today?
Did you dig many holes and recover much junk?

Just curious, so I can compare it to my own experiences, to see if I'm doing it correctly.

I was there for maybe 2 hours. it is a large field but I had to keep going back to an area that is maybe 10 meters squared, that is where I found all the goodies. Anythere outside this area I couldnt find targets so I,m guessing it been done before.

After our little hunt on friday,a couple of other other detector friends deceided to join us for a day out saturday so four of us set out to see what we could find. Went to a Reserve and when we arrived there was a guy there who lives nearby and he told us that only a week before a couple had been there the whole day detecting and had found alot of stuff but we deceided to give it a go anyway. Found so nice items and then moved on to a very publicfield just to see if we could find anything there. At the end of the day we had found appox 200 coins, 17 silver, so it turned out to be quite a good day. This is my sons and my haul. A good days hunting.

Three of us went detecting in the weekend and had a nice little haul, 23 silvers and a nice fob chain and a nice Sydenham bros silver and gold broch. We all took photos of our own hauls but for some reason I cant put the other two guys photos on here. I think they are to big. This is my findings, and will work on getting the other photos on soon. Closing in on those 100 silvers for the year.
