Did driving duty for my Dad CHCH-Ashburton-CHCH today so got a little bit of coin hunting done while I was there.

Balmoral Hall:

1934 Shilling
1943 Sixpence
1899 Penny
1943 C.A.C. VII 303 cartridge

Domain:

1939 Sixpence

I must say the Domain is the barest ground I've detected on - very few signals left, as though a local systematically stripped the park of everything and just missed one sixpence! No decimal found at all.

I love the domain! Mostly because it is such a pretty park and you can wander into some back corner and be by yourself. Although I would agree that the obvious spots seem pretty well picked over.
