somewhere with grass...old grass would be better. Concrete area's are hard to do but :)

Research via google and the net in general or even a library...and good luck mate!

Gidday Phantom

Beaches galore and lots of parks. Better yet, there is even a Detector Club in Auckland, - Te Tahi Detector Club. Phil 09 535 8887 is one of the members. I have been with them for some years and they put out a newsletter every two months and they have weekly digs somewhere in Auckland and monthly meetings. My current Newsletter lists Maraetai Beach, Pt Chev beach, Takapuna Beach and Howick..........Beach.

If digging in parks, make small holes and fill them in. If asked to leave, don't argue. Private property, ask permission.

I live in Blenheim but I have fond memories of the North Shore beaches when I had a loan of a Groundhog detector. There are heaps of beaches. I spent quite a few years in Chch where I used a Minelab Sovereign to good effect. I have a Quattro now which I am still trying to get the best out of. Might get me a pinpointer as well I think.

Have fun

Dave
