Wife lost her bloody engagement ring at Oxford yesterday. Now we have to drive back there today (40 - 50 kms away)with the detector to look for something soooo tiny in such a big area not knowing if it's already been picked up. Treasure hunt anyone? :(

Well........no luck unfortunately. We did find two rings but they were the wrong ones and not even silver. A huge THANK YOU to our fellow member Ash who turned up and found us to help. What a nice guy!
On a positive note, at least we recovered the $20 odd for the gas money it took to look.

My wife said if I did find it, she wanted me to propose again. I told her she should at least encourage me to find it lol.

It was a last minute thought to mention it on here sorry Chris. Thanks for the kind offer though. We pretty much gridded the field so probably not worth travelling the 50 kms again. Must have been found or lost elsewhere I feel. We put up a notice and will call the police there tomorrow morning....funnily enough the policemans name is.....Chris.lol. We are inundated with Chris's on here too!

Your welcome :) A good day for me too. Total of $32 in goldies, incl the 5 ya thru in my trash bag ;) lol (ty again)
(Found another $10/12 after ya's left, sorry to say didn't find the ring tho.)

Didn't do both ways, but gave it a pretty tight overlapping search one way.
As PBear40 says tho, we both coulda missed it by an inch.

Meet up with another couple detectorists on the showgrounds before i found Chrischch too.
