I had guessed at 10 mm from your photo & made up a bucket classifier similar to yours earlier today. I found drilling fine - at least you don't have to breathe the fumes from melting plastic! I'm also making a mesh-bottomed bucket classifier - I'll try both and see how they go. I am making classifiers in both 10 & 20 litre sizes. The 10 litre buckets are a space/weight saving measure as a couple of the creeks I'm heading to are well in the back country & I'll have to carry camping equipment as well as prospecting gear. Probably spend at least a week initially in each location.

Whenever I tried drilling the cheap and nasty ones they kept cracking after so many holes - very frustrating!
