Stopped off at a new spot today it was getting late so only stayed for an hour. Only moved about 6 meters and hit silver and some old coins and nothing was more than 4 inches deep!

Amber came out with me and had her first go on the AT-Pro and hit a 1879 penny in under a two minutes! It had a newspaper clipping that was stuck to the back of it - very cool!. Needless to say she was pretty damned please with herself. :)

I got a 1858 Vic and silver so I’m happy with that ^_____^

Amber and our son Jesse had a birthday party to go to today so the At-Pro and I got outside for a hour today!

Some more firsts for me...

WWI RAF NZ badge, Carbine bullets (1918ish)? and a WWI Uniform button - all with in a few feet of each other.
Back out tomorrow around the same spot to see what else I can find :)

Bullets look to be fired .450/577 and prob date late 1880-90s. Probably from a Enfield Martini Henry rifle. Very very cool. Well done on the wings too. Love the old military stuff. Keep it up.

Getting some nice stuff there Sam.

HP3 was discontinued in 1969, but still available in 1971, being replaced by HP4 and 5. Nice films to use.

Then they invented Digital...

Soon it will be hard to even find 35mm - I thought it would be a shame not to keep it even if it is squished :)

Like WestieDigger, I'm thinking match case. The emblem looks to be a tanned cow hide inside the belt... Any tanneries nearby then or now?

Had a swing around an old tram stop and found a couple of very flat NZ Pennies that some kids must have put on the tracks :)
Also found an old broche, WWII United States Marine Corps 5 pointed star Scovill bronze eagle/anchor button, more bullets, 1 shilling and a 3d.
