Well done, Gavzilla. Now, the local Minelab dealers need to contact Minelab, and arrange for him to be nailed for bringing in counterfeit products.

Hahaha go to the link now and see all the unanswered questions. Trademe still didnt pull it after all that!

I community watch reported it and I'm sure others did too. It was withdrawn by the seller. What I think is terrible is Trademe's lack of giving a shit that someone was getting scammed. As long as the success fees get paid....All good according to Trademe. What do you guys think?

I wonder where he will try to unload those shitty detectors now though? They will end up in the big pool of second hand machines and some poor bugger then another etc

Well I have done my bit and reported it to trade me so this thieving prick might have a little more difficulty selling his stuff.
I don't care if he sells Chinese knock-offs, but not when he says he "Paid $6,500 AU (each) in 2010, made in Australia.".

Just submitted a question on both his new listings asking for serial numbers, of course I don't expect him to answer. Pity somebody has already placed a bid on one of them.

Good on you Andy. This guy is a crook. If you are selling a Chinese copy, just say so. I assume everyone else who asked a question on the first auction has been blacklisted on these two new short-listed auctions?

The guy who is bidding on it has a lot of red faces from not following through with sales already - he might be doing the same again. Suggest just keep hitting the Trademe with reports that they are fakes??

9 unanswered questions on one of them and 4 on the other already so he must be feeling the pressure! :)

I've reported him to trademe as well. Hopefully over the weekend they'll be deluged with complaints.
I note looking at his feedback that he sold a cheap Garrett once before that at least one person had misgivings over. On that listing too, he refused to let the item be picked up. Postage only. Very strange.

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell my collection for what I told her it cost me.

Just had another look and I have a couple of points to add as well. I have sent a report off to Community Watch, text below

"Not a Minelab and both auctions say that "Photos are of the actual unit you are biding—" however the photos are the same, so he is untruthful and it is funny how both of the units have had their serial numbers rubbed off but the detectors look unused. If the numbers had been worn off, surely the detector would show other forms of us as well."

So we will all wait and see. My mother in law has travelled extensively but I'm please she never made it to Asia, can just imagine what it would be like if she was cloned. Oh my gosh. Doesn't bare thinking
