Back from a night from that big old Christchurch park we all know. Hard going but did manage 4 little silvers, forces button, a old pen knife, musket ball and a token type thing that says tramway copper trial Liverpool 1918, here's a link for interesting reading about it.

Out for a wee hunt this morning, managed 2 silvers, one of which is a really worn young head Vickie half crown, can only just see the bust outline grrrr but least I'm back on the bigger silver trail.
Also a nice tie pin ?? With a crown.

Righto. .back from the afternoon detecting shift, went with a work mate to an eastern suburb park.
2 more silvers with the 3d being a 1st with the shield on a rose design.

I'm off to Auckland minding children for ten days. Not sure which detector to take but I guess there is lots of opportunity for beaches, as I'm just going to be over road from eastern beaches. What's fisher like at beaches? Erickd

The F4 was fine to use on the beach, just need to ground balance every so often. And on eastern Auckland beaches should be ok being white sand.

Back from a quick night hunt with no8wire, a southerly blasted it's way in so had to abandon the hunt. 4 more silvers and yet another HJ Hall token, it has great detail as it was 8 inches down jambed under a tree root.
Will soak in olive oil to get some of the grime off and should be sweet.

Back from a night hunt with Chrispy, tried a new area and it's paid of..GOLD !!!!! Yippeee 18 CT.
Also a Half Crown , worn young head shilling, 1872 3d . And an awesome old brooch, definitely will have to visit that spot again.
