Well here we go may as well start my own page, just a pity it's doesn't start off with a plentiful haul.
As no8wire mentioned it was hard going but have to try these places.
3 silvers and some penny's.

anywhere there is old coins there must be old treasures anybody who came with a halfcrown in there pocket came to spend or gamble take a strimmer good luck

Went for an hours hunt where I have been once before and found my first token when I first started detecting back last July.
Found 2 Put and Take gaming spinners each at opposite ends of the park..Tick off the bucket list and to find 2 is just bizarre.
Nice old button, not sure what it is, looks like a TBC or different combinations.
2 silvers, penny's and a big old 3 ringer lead bullet, I'm not and expert on bullets, all I know is its old lol.
Will be going back to that park again for sure.

Great idea, have them in olive oil at the mo to bring out the detail, so when that's done I can play with it lol, the bigger one unfortunately doesn't have any markings so thinking that one could have had painted markings that have worn off

Was out on a hunt tonight with no8wire and scored another bucket list item a 1940 silver merc dime, so all up 5 silvers, a silver cricket wicket pendant, big nz forces button, an old badge that I'm struggling to read, look Latin.
The usual penny's and $3 spendies.

Solo hunt tonight for and hour and a half, wasn't really in the mood for it but came away with 3 silver coins, 925 broken silver heart, and a 1848 half penny which is quite cool.

Decided to brave the cold and rain and went for a hunt where I found the spinners, but only lasted a half hour because my pinpointer battery died and couldn't be bothered to head to the car and change it while my gloves where all muddy.
But in that half hour I scored another first, a 1903 Indian head penny, I often see the American detectorists on YouTube pulling them up with a degree of excitement.
Follows the weeks theme as I found a 1940 silver merc.

Nice work mate. Next up....a US large cent or a Standing Liberty.
My bucket list find for a US coin is a 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter......that's one BIG bucket list tick I never expect to have....but hey.....dream big, live large!..... After all, I never expected to find a sovereign coin spill either!!

Back from a hunt tonight with no8wire and Chrispy at a well hunted park, but its still popping up the goodies.
NZ International Exhibition Token 1882 IS Bartletts, this was the last thing I found heading back to the car.

Also an old Chinese Coin, its about the same size as a half penny, yet to find out how old it is, Im hoping 1700's
Other bits include an 1842 big old penny, 3 silvers, old butterfly brooch, part of a copper thimble, watch winder.






Planning on a day this weekend to go somewhere new...not sure where yet.

Im no expert but I think that chinese coin is between 1644 and 1661

Just back from a night hunt in that big old Christchurch park we all know.
8 silvers, bunch of penny's and old make up container which says on the back Pompeian Bloom, Medium, Made in the USA.
It feels like it has something in it and I'm hoping it's stuffed with gold sovereigns.
Will post if there's any cool inside.
